  • 2 tbsp maple syrup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary leaves chopped
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes or to taste
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the parsnips with olive oil, maple syrup, rosemary, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper; toss to coat evenly.
  • Spread the parsnips in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and roast for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until tender-crisp and caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure the parsnips are in a single layer and not overcrowded on the baking sheet to allow for proper caramelization. Adjust red pepper flakes to your desired level of spice.
