Instructions

Prepare Meatball Mixture

  • In a large bowl, combine ground beef, panko breadcrumbs, egg, onion, garlic, salt, and pepper; mix gently until just combined.
  • Roll the mixture into small, uniform balls, 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter.

Cook Meatballs

  • Place meatballs on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake at 375°F (190°C) for 18-22 minutes until cooked and lightly browned.

Prepare Sauce

  • While meatballs bake, whisk BBQ sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan; simmer over medium heat until slightly thickened.

Combine and Simmer

  • Add cooked meatballs to the simmering BBQ sauce, stirring to coat evenly, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes to meld flavors.

Serve

  • Transfer meatballs and sauce to a warm serving dish, garnish with chopped fresh parsley, and provide toothpicks for serving.

Notes

For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the BBQ sauce. These meatballs can be made ahead of time and reheated gently for convenience.
