Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Can use different types of cheese for variation.
  • 1 bag frozen tater tots

Optional Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup chopped onion Optional, can be omitted.
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, brown the ground beef and onion over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and season with salt and pepper.

Assembly and Baking

  • In a greased baking dish, layer the beef mixture.
  • Spread the shredded cheddar cheese over the beef layer.
  • Top with frozen tater tots.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes until tater tots are golden brown and the casserole is heated through.

Notes

Tater Tot Casserole is delicious served straight from the oven. You can add ketchup or hot sauce for extra flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container; consume within 3-4 days.
