  • 6 ounces (170g) Salmon Fillets per person, skin on or off
  • 1-2 tablespoons Olive Oil or Avocado Oil
  • Salt flaky sea salt preferred
  • Black Pepper freshly ground, to taste
  • Lemon Wedges for serving
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Dill finely chopped (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder (optional)

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and fresh dill.
  • Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
  • Place salmon skin-side down (if applicable) in the hot skillet, pressing gently for the first 30 seconds.
  • Cook for 4-6 minutes until two-thirds opaque and skin is crispy.
  • Flip the salmon and cook for another 2-4 minutes until desired doneness (145°F (63°C) internal).
  • Transfer salmon to plates and squeeze fresh lemon over the top before serving.

Notes

For best results, ensure your skillet is very hot before adding the salmon to achieve a crispy skin. Do not overcrowd the pan, cook in batches if necessary.
