  • 1 bag frozen tater tots approx. 32 oz
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cooked chicken rotisserie chicken works great
  • 1 can canned corn 15 oz, drained
  • ½ red onion finely diced
  • 1 ½ cups nacho cheese sauce warmed

  • hot sauce
  • green onions

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to around 400°F (200°C) according to the tater tot package directions.
  • Spread the frozen tater tots in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway.
  • While tots bake, shred the cooked chicken, drain the canned corn, and finely dice the red onion.
  • Gently heat the nacho cheese sauce on the stovetop over low heat or in the microwave until warm.
  • Transfer the crispy tater tots to an oven-safe serving platter or leave on the baking sheet.
  • Drizzle a generous amount of warm nacho cheese sauce over the tots.
  • Evenly scatter the shredded chicken, drained corn, and diced red onion over the cheesy tots.
  • For extra melty goodness, bake for 3-5 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
  • Garnish with sour cream, hot sauce, or green onions.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!

For crispier tots, ensure they are spread in a single layer and not overcrowded on the baking sheet. Feel free to customize toppings with your favorite ingredients like jalapeños, black beans, or a sprinkle of shredded cheese before the final melt. Remember to adjust cooking times if you significantly alter the amount of tater tots or toppings. Serve immediately for best results, as tater tot nachos can get soggy if left to sit for too long.
