  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch cayenne pepper optional
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 lime juiced
  • 8-12 corn or flour tortillas street taco size
  • Your favorite toppings e.g., shredded cabbage, avocado crema, fresh cilantro

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Toss shrimp with olive oil, spices, salt, pepper, and half of the lime juice; let marinate for 5-10 minutes.
  • Warm tortillas on a dry skillet for 20-30 seconds per side until soft, then stack and cover to keep warm.

Cooking

  • Cook marinated shrimp in a hot skillet for 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

Assembly

  • Remove shrimp from heat and squeeze the remaining lime juice over them.
  • Fill warmed tortillas with a generous spoonful of shrimp and your favorite toppings.

Notes

For extra flavor, lightly toast the spices in a dry pan before adding them to the shrimp.
