Description
This Quick & Easy Wonton Soup recipe is a perfect comfort food, ready in under 30 minutes! It’s packed with flavor, delicate wontons, and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 inch ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 cups chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
20–25 pre-made wontons (pork or vegetable)
2 green onions, sliced
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Heat sesame oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Add grated ginger and minced garlic; sauté 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.
4. Add the mixed vegetables; cook 3–5 minutes until slightly tender.
5. Gently add the pre-made wontons to the simmering broth; cook 5–7 minutes, until wontons float and are cooked through.
6. Season with salt and pepper. Ladle into bowls, garnish with sliced green onions, and serve immediately.
Notes
For an extra kick, add a dash of chili oil when serving.
Great with a sprinkle of cilantro.
Easily adapt with your favorite veggies or add cooked chicken for extra protein.
