  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  • Gradually combine the dry and wet ingredients, mixing until just combined without overmixing.
  • Gently fold in the diced apples.
  • Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  • Drizzle ½ cup of caramel sauce over the batter and swirl it in with a knife or skewer.
  • Bake for 28-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  • Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan before lifting and slicing for best results.
