  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 8 ounce fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini)
  • 1 bunch fresh basil leaves

Dressing

  • 1/4 cup balsamic glaze
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes and basil leaves thoroughly.
  • If using larger mozzarella balls, cut them in half; otherwise, leave them whole.

Assembly

  • Thread one cherry tomato onto a skewer, followed by a basil leaf, then a mozzarella ball, and repeat the pattern once more, ending with a cherry tomato.
  • Arrange the assembled skewers neatly on a serving platter.

Dressing and Serving

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic glaze and olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  • Just before serving, drizzle the balsamic glaze mixture over the skewers and serve immediately as a refreshing appetizer.

Notes

For an extra touch, you can lightly toast the skewers before drizzling the balsamic glaze over them. You can also experiment with adding other ingredients like olives or small pieces of grilled chicken for variety.
