  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 inch ginger freshly grated
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 200 g frozen wontons
  • 2 green onions sliced, for garnish

Preparation

  • Combine chicken broth, grated ginger, minced garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil in a large pot.
  • Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat.
  • Add the frozen wontons to the simmering broth.
  • Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the wontons float and are cooked through.
  • Ladle the hot soup into bowls and garnish with sliced green onions before serving.

Notes

For extra flavor, you can add a dash of rice vinegar or a pinch of white pepper to the soup. Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like spinach or bok choy for a more complete meal.
